Learn to create a butterfly-friendly Florida garden using Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ principles from the UF/IFAS Extension Broward County Master Gardener Volunteers.

Workshop Highlights

Plant Selection for Pollinators: Learn how to choose the best native and Florida-friendly plants that attract and nourish butterflies all year long.
Support the Butterfly Life Cycle: Discover the importance of host and nectar plants to provide for butterflies from egg to caterpillar to adult.
Design for Year-Round Blooms: Get practical tips for planning a garden that blooms year-round, ensuring a continuous food supply and a thriving butterfly habitat.

Free Option: Attend the class at no cost and learn essential skills to start your Florida-Friendly butterfly garden in South Florida.

Premium Option: For just $20 (all fees included), learn from our expert presenter, participate in a butterfly release at Flamingo Gardens, and take home a wildflower seed packet to immediately apply your new skills and support pollinator conservation. Note: The butterfly release will take place immediately after the workshop, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
