About this Event

This class is a space where you can disconnect and reconnect with community through creativity.

Join Lin, with Wanderlust and Wolf, and learn how to process and preserve your favorite florals. You'll leave with your very own pressed flower frame and the knowledge to press your own botanicals.

No experience necessary.

About the instructor:

Lin has been professionally preserving flowers since the pandemic when she saw a need to create something tangible for families in mourning.Through word of mouth, her art became sought after and she entered the Bridal world, preserving bouquets in resin. However; she’s shifted her focus to flower pressing and mastering the art of pressing flowers using the Traditional Japanese method, Oshibana, cultivating patience and harmony with nature.

Lin was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management. Her focus was Interpretation with the hope to work in the National Parks, educating the public about the importance of preserving nature. She set her dreams of Ranger work aside and pursued other avenues in Chattanooga which lead her to co-creating a hybrid forest kindergarten program at Red Bank Elementary.

After all of that, family became her priority, giving birth to a girl in July of 2019. After seven years of balancing a business and children, she’s ready to dive back into the teaching world, this time tapping into the magical world of adults. Her hope in teaching at the Chattery is to bring out as much creativity in the adults who participate in her classes through Oshibana. She believes adults need a space to be free to create however they feel they need, with zero expectation and full creative freedom so they can tackle whatever is next on their full plate. We all deserve a safe place to honor our inner child. Let’s play!
