Join Professor Emeritus Helmut Lueckenhausen for a fascinating insight into his practice and works Garuda Amongst the Reeds (2018) and Barong Watching (2018) on display in The Sweet Spot—Between Art & Design. Lueckenhausen’s recently acquired works explore the nexus of sculpture and functional furniture, reflecting the Gallery’s commitment to exhibiting and collecting works by key practitioners working at the intersection of art and design.
Helmut Lueckenhausen is a studio furniture designer, maker, academic and researcher with an esteemed career spanning five decades. He is currently the Pro Vice Chancellor of Design and Globalisation at Torrens University.
