Help restore Ensen Community Park!

Join us for a hands-on volunteer effort at Big Sur Land Trust’s Floodplain Restoration Project site in Ensen Community Park! Volunteers will have a unique opportunity to enter the restoration area — currently closed due to construction — to learn about ongoing habitat improvements and help with essential weeding and clean‑up efforts.

We’ll start the morning with coffee and breakfast items before walking into the restoration site to meet the project contractors. After a brief orientation, volunteers will help remove invasive weeds that compete with young native plants. A complimentary lunch will be provided, and we’ll wrap up the afternoon with a final round of weeding, gratitude, and time in community.

Your time and energy directly support the health of native habitat and future public access — thank you for being part of this restoration effort!

No prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm for nature and community!

Se proporcionará un almuerzo gratuito, y concluiremos la tarde con una última sesión de deshierbe, agradecimientos y tiempo en comunidad.

Info: Arrive early and start your day with us! Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee and some breakfast treats before we begin. We’ll be at the large group picnic area—just look for the Big Sur Land Trust signs to find our meeting spot and join in! / ¡Llega temprano y comienza el día con nosotros! Info: We’ll be locate in the restoration area—currently closed to the public—so it’s a special chance to see it up close! After a brief orientation, volunteers will help remove invasive weeds that compete with young native plants. Info: We’ll be working in the restoration area, which is currently being transformed into native plant habitat and a site for future public access. Volunteers are encouraged to take breaks whenever needed.
