60-minute immersive floating soundbath on luxury, king-size floating mattresses
A gentle guided meditation to begin, followed by live sound with Tibetan + crystal singing bowls and sacred percussion

This floating soundbath is a rare and deeply immersive offering, taking place at Jenkins Swim Studio, Cheltenham - a beautifully minimal, industrial pool space softened by candlelight, scent and layers of warmth. You’ll be gently supported onto a luxury floating mattress and held by warm water beneath you. Assistance is available at all times, with easy access via pool steps. Your foot will briefly touch the water as you step on to the mattress (only for a moment though! - towels will be on hand to dry you off immediately afterwards), and then you will begin settling into stillness with cosy socks, mittens, blankets and fleeces. Once afloat, the body can fully let go, supported without effort.

Floating offers a subtly different nervous system experience to a ground-based soundbath. Water reduces muscular holding and pressure through buoyancy, allowing the body to soften more quickly. The sound also travels slightly differently not only through the air but through the water itself, meaning the vibrations are felt more fully through the body, often on a deeper, cellular level. This combination encourages a stronger parasympathetic response - slowing the mind, settling the nervous system and creating a cocooned, womb-like sense of safety that allows for deeper surrender.

The session begins with a gentle guided meditation before flowing into the immersive sound journey. Tibetan and crystal singing bowls and sacred percussion will weave through the space as warm pool water creates a soft atmospheric mist around you. The scent of incense, palo santo and essential oils drifts through the air, while flickering candlelight and rippling water reflections gently heighten the sensory experience.

Many people experience floating soundbaths as more intense. With the body fully supported and less effort required to relax, the mind quietens more quickly and the experience becomes increasingly immersive, expansive and deeply restorative. For this reason, the return to land is important. Our experience allows this return to be slow and intentional, with time to ground and integrate. Warm herbal tea, homemade sweet refreshments and slippers are provided, allowing you to settle gently before re-entering the outside world.
