Floating Cloister: AI, Pace & Community — A Freelancer's Gathering

A six-hour, in-person gathering on June 25 for fifty freelancers who are building their careers deliberately — using AI thoughtfully, protecting their pace, and looking for genuine peers (not networking contacts).

Whether you're a designer, writer, consultant, builder, or in-between-things, this room is for solo workers who want to think more carefully about the work they're making, the tools they're using, and the practice they're building.

This event is designed for freelancers and solo workers with 2+ years of experience who: – use AI tools regularly but want to use them more intentionally – want a small, curated peer community (not large-scale networking) – are building a sustainable practice rather than chasing scale – appreciate well-designed, slower-paced gatherings.

Floating Cloister becomes a monthly online community starting July 30, meeting the last Wednesday of every month. June 25 attendees become founding members. First-year membership is free.

POPOPO has spent seven years building communities for caregivers — beginning with mothers, now expanding to the caregivers of their own work. Co-founded by Yoomi Jeong and Mini Nayak. Floating Cloister is our first event for the freelance community.
