About this Event
Join us for our first Community Bikepacking Weekend of 2026 - a gravel overnighter open to all those in the FLINTA community (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender). We'd love for you to join - grab a ticket to book your spot!
The route will start and end in central Bristol. We'll meet on Saturday morning at a cafe near the Clifton Suspension Bridge, before cycling south west towards the Mendips. We'll all camp together on Saturday night near Cheddar, and cycle back to Bristol on on Sunday.
On both days we'll be cycling ~45km on a mixture of cycle paths, bridleways, single track, and quiet roads. The route is suitable for gravel and mountain bikes, with a recommended tyre width of 38mm. The exact route, along with more details and what to bring, will be sent out to all attendees about a week beforehand.
In attending this weekender, you should be comfortable being on your bike for ~6 hours each day, with 40% offroad riding. We will be camping at a campsite halfway around on Saturday night which costs £14 (not included in your ticket).
There are a few things you can add on to your ticket:
🚲 Hire of a full set of Restrap bikepacking bags - a saddle, frame, handlebar, and top tube bag comprising roughly 40L of storage.
🚲 Hire of a gravel bike. Please note that these are limited, so if you do have a bike suitable for offroad riding, consider using that instead.
Loop Bikepacking Bursary Tickets - We have a number of bursary tickets available, thanks to a generous donation which has allowed us to pay these forward. To access these tickets please email us at [email protected] with: your name, contact number, and details of any equipment you may need to borrow for the weekend (e.g. bike, bikepacking bags, and camping equipment). These bursary tickets will cover your entry fee, cost of any equipment hired, and a support fund to cover campsite costs and food/drinks over the weekend.
For insurance purposes - although we will be riding in a group, this is not a guided ride and all riders are responsible for their own personal safety. You will need to have the route downloaded either on a phone or bike computer. All attendees must be over 18 years old.
