About this Event
Two years ago, an MI6 officer broke silence and revealed that the British government knew of Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait in 1990 before it happened. So why did they allow British Airways flight 149 to land in the warzone that treacherous morning?
Director Biography - Jenny Ash
Jenny is one of the UK’s top female award- winning directors. She won 2021’s Women in Film and Television best Director Award - the first and only documentary director to have been awarded it. Critics acclaim Jenny's work as authored, ground-breaking and cinematic. She layers her films with nuanced storytelling and emotional power. She works across documentary and fiction and often where the two overlap – bringing a dramatic sensibility to her documentaries and the authenticity and fluidity of documentary to drama. She often makes films about areas of recent history that have been traditionally told by men, including the feature doc Nuremberg - The World’s Biggest M**der Trial and Bin Laden - The Road to 9/11.
