Fleshpot on 42nd Street follows the unlikely bond between young drifter Dusty Cole and drag queen Cherry Lane as they navigate sex work, survival, and misfortune in the grimy heart of New York City.

Released a year after Deep Throat and praised for its raw, unglamourised portrait of street life, Fleshpot is scuzzy, feel-bad cinema with a surprsingly compaassionate flare, a rare exploitation film that looks its subjects in the eye.
