At this meeting Paul Kragh of Project Perch will teach the basics of our beloved Florida Burrowing Owl and the owl conservation work of Project PerchA lively discussion will cover the basic biology and behaviors of the Florida burrowing owl. How did they learn to mimic a rattlesnake? Why is this loveable raptor so cute? A pair of taxidermy owls will be on display.
Paul Kragh is the Director of Burrowing Owl Conservation for Project Perch Inc. This not-for-profit group of volunteers is dedicated to the preservation of the tiny subterranean owl. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has recognized Paul as a registered agent for the Florida burrowing owl.
