Instructor: Phil HackmanSkill Level: Beginner
Discover the magic of flameworked glass in this hands-on workshop where you’ll create two unique air plant holders to take home the same day. Working at the torch, you’ll learn to melt and shape both clear and colored glass, blow air into the vessel to form its body, and refine it with hand tools — all while developing a real feel for this ancient and captivating craft. Once your pieces have cooled, you’ll select your own air plants and attach them, leaving with finished, living works of art.
No experience is necessary — this workshop is designed to be fully accessible to beginners, while those with some flameworking background will find plenty to explore and enjoy.
All materials are included in the tuition. Appropriate for students aged 13 and up. Students under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
