Join us for an evening of Flamenco Music at Bar Botellón, October's performance features singer Cara Eckhardt! Every first Thursday of the month, Bar Botellón is filled with the sounds of flamenco palos (song forms) from Tangos to Tarantas, Sevillanas to Solea. For the Flamenco aficionado this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy live Flamenco music paired with tapas and drinks! Flamencos singers, musicians, and dancers are encouraged to come and participate.About Cara:
Cara Eckhardt grew up as a singer in various styles. Her journey with Flamenco began in 2016 when she first traveled to Spain and fell in love with the art form’s raw beauty and powerful expression. After enrolling her daughter in flamenco dance and attending performances for a few years, Cara began learning cante in earnest and has not stopped since. She loves the way that flamenco relies on improvisation, community, conviction, and emotional connection to create art. Cara studies with Yeshe Wingerd at Espacio Flamenco and has also studied with Alba Guerrero (Barcelona) and Alfonso Cid (New York) and many other maestros in various festival locations.
