QStep PDX is Portland’s queer-led ballroom dance community — equal parts social, sporty, and fabulous.
Join us for a free preview class on Thursday, Oct 2 at Dance With Joy Studios. This is your chance to try queer ballroom, meet the community, and get a taste of what our October series will bring.
🕖 Schedule
7:30–8:30 PM → Beginner-friendly Rumba lesson (no partner required)
8:30–9:00 PM → Q&A with Jake Heart
💡 What to Expect
Classes are beginner-friendly but athletic and fast-paced to keep things interesting. No partner required — we’ll rotate, and everyone will learn to dance whatever part they're feeling that day.
For those who want more: QStep also offers a path to competition (yes, even as a beginner!). Our big goal is to take a Portland queer team to the Gay Games in Valencia, Spain (Summer 2026).
