Bar Open at 4:00 pm!American Legion Post 518 will be honoring Flag Day by properly retiring worn and tattered American Flags. There will be a reading by the commander of the proper way to dispose of (old, worn, or tattered) American Flags. If you have a personal flag or a flag of a family member or a flag of the fallen that you would like to properly dispose of, you are able to attend and participate in disposal of the flag. During the ceremony they express appreciation for the organizations and/or people that either donated, sponsored, or helped with the ceremony with storage of flags, burn pit, sand, moving items, etc. The Howard Fire Department will be there to conduct a controlled burn as well as have their members in attendance for the ceremony. Please join us in honoring our great nation with respecting how our country’s colors should be properly disposed of. 🇺🇸
