The Democratic Clubs, Caucuses and Districts of Pinellas County invite you to come and join us for a family fun filled day of FLAG CELEBRATIONS! With Flag activities for the kids, Food available by donation, silent gift basket auction and our Democratic Candidates for the August primaries. June 14th is Flag Day!
What is Flag Day?
Flag Day commemorates June 14, 1777, when the Continental Congress determined the composition of the nation's banner: "Resolved, That the flag of the thirteen United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation."
There will be prizes for the Best Patriotic Dressed, the Best Flag inspired dessert and appetizer.
Come and join the Democratic Clubs, Caucuses and Districts of Pinellas County with Flag inspired activities for your kids to do and learn about our Nations symbol of patriotism.
The Veterans Caucus will do a Flag Retirement Ceremony. So if you have an old Flag that you need to retire, please bring it.
