The Classic Haute Route is probably the most known ski touring traverse in the Alps. This is our short and sweet version of it, not to long and not to short. The perfect ski touring experience that slowly increases towards real ski touring in high alpine terrain.
Join us on one of the most iconic ski touring journeys in the Alps. A guided traverse from Verbier to Zermatt, linking two of Switzerland’s most legendary mountain towns. This high-alpine adventure follows a section of the world-famous Haute Route, crossing spectacular glaciers and mountain passes under some of the most breathtaking peaks in the Alps, including the Grand Combin, Dent Blanche, and the Matterhorn.
Over the course of four days, we skin and ski our way through a remote and pristine landscape, moving from one mountain hut to the next.
Our IFMGA mountain guides ensure a safe and rewarding experience, adapting the route and pace to suit the group and snow conditions. Along the way, you’ll refine essential ski-mountaineering techniques: efficient skinning, glacier travel, and movement on steep and variable terrain.
This journey is more than a ski tour — it’s a deep immersion into the heart of the Alps. The final descent into Zermatt, with the Matterhorn rising above the valley, is a fitting finale to a truly unforgettable adventure.
Whether you’re an experienced ski tourer or looking to take your mountain skills to the next level, the Verbier-to-Zermatt tour offers the perfect blend of challenge, beauty, and camaraderie — a classic alpine experience that stays with you long after the snow has melted.
