Event Presenters

John Siganto — Fixed Income Broker, BGC
John holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland. He began his career at Morgans Financial in the research department before moving to FIIG Securities, where he worked in FX and compliance as a Shared Services Operations Analyst. John joined BGC in early 2024 as a Fixed Income Broker, supporting private clients and credit funds in managing their fixed interest portfolios. He also serves as a Board Member of the St Laurence’s Old Boys Foundation and contributes to its Investment Committee.

Ryan Poth — Head of Portfolio Strategy, FIS (BGC Partners)
Ryan holds a Diploma of Financial Markets (RG146) from the Australian Financial Markets Association (AFMA) and brings nearly 30 years of fixed‑income experience. Relocating to Brisbane in 2000, Ryan joined Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC), working on the Fixed Income desk and later in Strategy and Asset Allocation. In 2004, he moved to FIIG Securities, where he spent a decade in roles spanning portfolio management, technology, financial modelling, and fixed‑income sales. Ryan designed and maintained several proprietary trading, portfolio, and valuation systems. As a founding member and the Head of Portfolio Strategy at FIS, he leads the development of trading systems and tools, provides macro‑economic commentary, and manages a portfolio of client accounts.
