The Orange County Fix It! Don't Pitch It event gives residents the opportunity to extend the life of their belongings by having them fixed for FREE by handy volunteers thereby reducing the amount of trash sent to the landfill. Volunteers will diagnose and provide minor repairs of electronics (NO cell phones), bicycles, clothing and small household items. Repair services are subject to change based on availability of repair volunteers.You will be asked to sign a waiver upon arrival acknowledging your item(s) may not be repairable. Our volunteers will try their best to fix your items, but some items may be beyond repair. Each volunteer will spend 30 minutes on each item and if it can't be fixed, they will move on to the next item.
Volunteers will bring their own tools, but they do not bring spare parts required to fix all items.
🔌Bring all charging cords for electronics
🔋Bring electronics fully charged
🛞Bring spare parts that may be unique to your item and required to complete the repair (example spare tube for a bike)
3️⃣Limit of three items to be fixed per person
🪑Please expect a short wait before you are assigned to a volunteer fixer, chairs will be available
🕰️Event check-in will close at 12:45 p.m.
❌Gas and oil-powered tools will NOT be accepted for repair during the event
❌ Flatscreen TV's will NOT be accepted for repair
