Five Senses of Guatemala brings together music, imagery, craftsmanship, and tradition in an experience that draws our community into the richness of Guatemalan culture.
Throughout the evening, guests will encounter some of the country’s most distinctive cultural expressions, from religious traditions shaped by procession, sacred art, and Holy Week to the sound of the marimba, Guatemala’s most emblematic instrument.
The program also highlights Guatemala’s visual culture through projections and offers traditional food and drink tastings rooted in family, celebration, and regional identity.
At the center of the evening is , the Museum’s exhibition focused on a centuries-old Holy Week tradition from La Antigua Guatemala.
The program holds special meaning in Coral Gables, as La Antigua Guatemala is one of the City’s Sister Cities, reflecting a lasting cultural connection between the two communities.
