Five Points Jazz Roots – A Black History Month Celebration is a two-day cultural experience honoring the legacy and future of jazz in Denver’s Historic Five Points. Taking place on February 7 and February 21, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, the celebration activates multiple venues along the Welton Corridor with live jazz, poetry, DJs, and spoken-word performances.Featured artists include Dzirae Gold & Max Moore, Gregory Goodloe, Gyp Da Hip, Liberation Language, Tony Exum Jr., The Parrisian Trio, DJ Tosh, Jack Hadley, Hex Kitten, Sammy Mayfield, Tenia Nelson Trio, Issac Sinclair Soul, Ayana Contreras, and more. Programming will unfold at Welton Street Cafe, TeaLee’s, Mimosas, Fifth Coffee House, Spangalang Brewery, Pairadice, Marigolds, Brother Jeff’s Cultural Center, The Welton Room, and additional neighborhood spaces.
The celebration also features an art exhibit and vendor market at the former Melody Market (2590 Washington Street), creating a vibrant hub for creatives, entrepreneurs, and community members.
