Five Finger Disco: Charles' Fruit Basket!
Our first full season at White Horse Inn is coming to a close, and we are going out with a bang! Or a smash? Slice? Peel off? It's all the same, we just can't wait to have you on the dancefloor! We are celebrating the birthday of FFD resident and curator Charles Hawthorne 🎉 Charles builds the basket, and you all come dressed as your favorite fruits!
Joining us alllll the way from the swamps of Louisiana, we have educator, writer, thought-leader, icon, and certified party girl phlegm! Ryan "phlegm" Gilbert is a New Orleans-born and based multidisciplinary artist who also penned the mantra "Everything You Love About New Orleans Is Because of Black People." seen on Afropunk, in Interview Magazine, on the marquee at the famous Joy Theater, shared by New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell and on countless lifestyle accessories.
Phlegm has a deep disco and house bag rooted in soulful vocals and sounds, diasporic Black art and performance, and the undying spirit of the carry. They've torn stages up and down the East Coast, and visited some friends in SF, but we are excited to have this diva making their Oakland debut with us! (More on Phlegm here!)

21+ with valid ID. Five Finger Disco celebrates the contributions of Black women and femmes in dance music and centers their experiences on the dancefloor. There is absolutely zero tolerance for racism, misogyny, transphobia, ableism, or being an asshole at FFD or the White Horse! Come correct, or don't come at all!

Accessibility Information
The White Horse Inn is located at the corner of 66th and Telegraph, with ramps from the street at the corner. The space is all one level with no steps. The main bar area will have lots of seating and tables. The back dance floor has limited seating. There will be a lot of party lights and limited strobe effect.
There are 2 gender-neutral bathrooms with an accessible stall in each.
The White Horse has a full menu of non-alcoholic drink options.
