About this Event
Visiting Cambrdige Visual Culture fellows, artist Jim Butler and poet David Butler, will present their different ways of responding creatively, through poems and images, to Fitzwilliam's Dublin estate and its contested colonial history. This will include initial responses to the Fitzwilliam Museum's archives and collection and will also draw on previous collaborations, which include parts of the Fitzwilliam estate and other historically contested sites in Dublin. The event will include a display of artefacts including sketchbooks and prints, and a poetry reading. The presentation will be followed by a drinks reception in the Fitzwilliam Museum Armoury.
