About this Event
A proper “room above a pub” experience in central London.
Come and enjoy comedy as it should be—pint in one hand, all huddled around a stage in the corner of a room above a pub, enjoying the very best of London’s comedy circuit for an unbeatable price.
Our shows are all Pay What You Can. This system means that we don't need to charge an extortionate amount to everybody who wants to watch live comedy in central London, all you need to pay to reserve your ticket is £5.
We ask people to pay what they think the show is worth. Most people pay the suggested amount of £12 per person, but some people pay nearer to £20 as that's what the show is worth, and others pay a bit less. Some people really can't afford to donate anything at the end of the show, and that's always fine, because the system works just fine!
Pete Selwood is a familiar face on the UK comedy circuit, hailed for his sharp wit, confident swagger, and captivating storytelling. The Yorkshire-born comedian expertly blends relatable observational humor with killer punchlines.
He has earned recognition for his unique perspective as someone born with a limb difference, especially when becoming a parent, a topic he addresses in his stand-up show "Uninspiring."
Pete has been featured on shows on ITV2, Comedy Central Live, and the BBC3 - the latter in the sketch "Disabled In Da Club" alongside Jack Carroll, for whom he also provides regular tour support. He has secured several accolades, including the Liverpool Echo New Comedian Of The Year and the New Yorkshire Comedian Of The Year.
