About this Event
A proper “room above a pub” experience in central London.
Come and enjoy comedy as it should be—pint in one hand, all huddled around a stage in the corner of a room above a pub, enjoying the very best of London’s comedy circuit for an unbeatable price.
Our shows are all Pay What You Can. This system means that we don't need to charge an extortionate amount to everybody who wants to watch live comedy in central London, all you need to pay to reserve your ticket is £5.
We ask people to pay what they think the show is worth. Most people pay the suggested amount of £12 per person, but some people pay nearer to £20 as that's what the show is worth, and others pay a bit less. Some people really can't afford to donate anything at the end of the show, and that's always fine, because the system works just fine!
Joe Jacobs is a London-based comedian, rapper, and writer known for live shows that effortlessly blend stand-up with hip-hop, earning him the moniker "The Stormzy of Stand up" (Chortle). Active since 2012, his comedy has been described as "Jewish Mike Skinner with jokes" (⋆⋆⋆⋆ The Wee Review).
A regular on the UK comedy circuit, he has performed nationally and internationally, opening for acts like Bill Burr. His solo shows, including Ripe (2017) and Grimefulness (2019), received critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe, while his viral videos have garnered millions of views.
