Almost 50 years ago, Johanna Manfreda Fishbein started a tradition in Wallingford that would grow and change significantly over the years, bringing organizations throughout the town together to collaborate in an effort to support residents in need.The Wallingford Family YMCA is proud to continue this tradition as host of the annual Fishbein/YMCA Community Road Race on Sunday, October 5 in collaboration with Celebrate Wallingford.

5K Run - 1K Walk - 1 Mile Youth Race
The Wallingford Family YMCA is a charitable organization, with a mission to strengthen the foundation of the community through programs, services and relationships that build a healthy spirit, mind and body. All proceeds go towards our Community Support Campaign, which funds LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, our cancer survivor program, as well as providing much needed financial assistance for all our programs and services. As a non-profit organization, the Y relies on contributions from members and other friends to promote the healthy development of all regardless of their financial means. 100% of each contributed dollar goes to subsidize the cost of programs for children, families and seniors and to give financial assistance to those who need it.
