Join us at Lake Thoreau for an exciting overnight adventure exploring the fascinating world of freshwater fish and lake life. During this hands-on, educational experience, campers will learn about native fish species, how fish live in our local lakes, and the important role they play in aquatic ecosystems.This overnight camp takes place April 24–25 and runs from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 A.M. the following morning.
(Drop-off: 6:00–6:30 P.M. | Pick-up: 8:00–8:30 A.M.)
The program is open to 3rd–5th grade students. Campers will participate in guided activities designed to introduce them to fish ecology and nighttime lake exploration. Activities will include learning about native fish, practicing cast netting, spotlighting fish along the shoreline, and examining macroinvertebrates under macroscopes to learn about fish diets.
