Hey immersive theatre pals! We’re bringing a new immersive show to Liverpool this May called Fish in a Kettle - a surreal house party set in the year 2050, hosted by the Ocean themselves.
Audiences are brought into the party by an oracle called Ringo, who is trying to change the future. As you move through kitchens, bathrooms and hidden spaces, you’ll encounter different possible futures through fragments of the Ocean’s life: Coral, the eternal Mother; Penelope, a fading and unstable beauty; and Sal, a party-loving club kid dancing at the end of the world.
There’s ritual, grief, movement, music, ecological horror, overheated dancing and flooded rooms. You can get close to the action or hang back and observe - no two journeys through the party are the same.
The show was developed in collaboration with scientists from the National Oceanography Centre, but it’s less “lecture about climate change” and more: what does it feel like when the world gets hotter, stranger and harder to navigate?
Bar’s open before the show, so come early, grab a drink and settle into the atmosphere before stepping inside the party 🌊
