Kate Solly - Tuesday Evenings with the Copeton Craft Resistance
Kate Solly is a writer, mother of six and really quite good at getting the bubbles out of plastic book wrap. While most of her time is spent finding lost shoes and investigating what's making the car smell bad, Kate frequently escapes to write entertaining things. She has penned many articles, columns and reviews for various publications, but when she is not writing, she enjoys starting crochet projects and never finishing them.
Meredith established the Copeton Crochet Collective (no knitters please) because it would be like having friends, only with her in charge, and because there would be no men. It comes as a nasty shock then when Luke, the handsome grandson of no-nonsense Edith, decides to stay and learn to crochet.
Kate Gregorevic - Before Dementia: 20 Questions You Need to Ask
Chances are you know someone with dementia, but how well do you really understand the condition? Dementia is a complex interplay of biological, social and psychological factors, and understanding it means understanding more about society and ourselves.
Approaching the topic through 20 insightful questions, Dr Kate Gregorevic explains the physical state of dementia, how to relate the diagnosis to real life, what questions to ask your doctor, strategies for preventing the condition, and how we can make our homes and society better for people with dementia.
Paul Dalgarno - A Country of Eternal Light
Paul Dalgarno is an author and journalist.
A Country of Eternal Light is astonishingly inventive, playful, witty, poignant and deeply moving novel from one of Australia's most exciting writers.
Margaret Bryce, deceased mother of twins, has been having a hard time since dying in 2014. These days she spends time with her daughters – Eva in Madrid, and Rachel and her family in Melbourne – and her estranged husband, Henry, in Aberdeen. Mostly she enjoys the experience of revisiting the past, but she's tiring of the seemingly random events to which she repeatedly bears witness. There must be something more to life, she thinks. And death.
Caroline Beecham - Esther's Children
Caroline is a novelist, writer and producer. She is the author of four books.
Inspired by the extraordinary life of Esther Simpson, Esther's Children is a powerful novel of love and courage.
Austria, 1936: Esther 'Tess' Simpson works for a British organisation that rescues academics from the cruel Fascist and anti-Semitic regimes taking hold in Europe. On a dangerous trip to Vienna to help bring aid to Europe's threatened Jewish scholars, Esther meets Harry Singer, a young Jewish academic and musician.
Chris Cheers - The New Rulebook
Notes from a psychologist to help redefine the way you live.
A practical, inclusive guide to life from Instagram's favourite psychologist Chris Cheers.
Take a moment and check in with how you've been feeling lately. Maybe a little tired, stressed or burnt out? All the recent upheaval and uncertainty has left many of us not only feeling exhausted, but also questioning who we are and what we want from life. Yet instead of taking the necessary time to process and answer these important questions, many of us are feeling pressured to just get back to 'normal'. But what if we want better than normal? The world has changed - we have changed - so when it comes to caring for our wellbeing, it's clear we need new rules.
