About this Event
York’s First Thursday Event, coordinated by Donald Insall Associates and JPG Group, is the city’s only free networking event, which is focused exclusively on those involved professionally within property, construction and development.
This April, we are going to try something a bit different. We are offering an exclusive visit to the Retreat in York, which PJ Livesey are converting to residential use. The Retreat is a Grade-II* listed 18th century estate, founded by visionary Quaker philanthropist William Tuke. The Retreat is known the world over for its pioneering care that has shaped modern mental health treatment.
The estate is being transformed into a community of 120 heritage homes, alongside a number of sustainable, newly built homes, set within 37 acres of historic landscape.

Join us from 4pm in the Marketing Suite for a tour of the new-build works and historic buildings at 4.30. After the tour, we will stay for refreshments and our usual networking.
Spaces are extremely limited but remain free. We therefore ask that you only sign up if you are able to attend. Please do cancel your place on Eventbrite if you are unable to attend so your ticket can be released. Attendees will not be admitted without a ticket.
The venue and the tour route are largely accessible but please contact us for more information. Sturdy shoes are required but no additional PPE. Parking is available outside the main building.
