About this Event
Do you have what it takes to live in the 18th century? Join our First Shot Summer Adventure to find out! Each day in this week-long program, we will explore historic sites and complete crafts, games, and activities about life during the Revolutionary War here in Lexington. Make a lantern and candle to see in the dark, see how far you can roll a wooden hoop with a stick, discover what's in a Minuteman's backpack, and more! You'll experience dancing, doctoring, and military drilling to see what your role would be as a colonial kid. At the end of the week, we'll showcase what we've learned in a mini-museum and reenact the Battle of Lexington with real reenactors.
Recommended for rising 3rd through 6th graders.
