Start your day at 10 AM in Town Hall with an engaging orientation where you’ll learn about the museum’s iconic start and meet the dedicated division and project leads who bring our collection to life. From historic railcar restoration to operations training and event support, you’ll get a behind‑the‑scenes look at the many ways volunteers make an impact.
Enjoy light refreshments as you connect with our team, then head out to explore the museum grounds. Get an up-close look at active restoration projects, meet the volunteers behind them, and experience the craftsmanship and passion that keep Southern California’s railway heritage moving forward.
As part of our First & Third Saturday programming, guests can also enjoy:
