Elizabeth Cady Stanton fought for equal rights for women for over fifty years, and upon her death in 1902 she left behind a legacy of her crusade for female equality and myriad writings that would inspire feminists for over a century to come. Hear from Mrs. Stanton in 1866, when the Civil War was over, but the battle for Women’s Suffrage was just beginning.Laura F. Keyes has been portraying historic women and lecturing on historic topics since 2008 and would love to share these stories with you. She is a librarian in Illinois. Since 1999, she has been active in community theatre in Illinois and Wisconsin, serving on the Board of Directors for Pec Playhouse Theatre more than once. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Wheels O’ Time Museum, the Association of Lincoln Presenters, and the Illinois Library Association. In her non-existent spare time, she is an avid baker and cat enthusiast!
