Join First Nations Leaders from across BC for this 2-day First Nations Climate Gathering focused on strengthening First Nations’ resilience in the face of climate change.
This event brings together First Nations leaders, technical staff, knowledge holders, climate experts, and youth to share knowledge, tools, and resources that support climate planning and adaptation in First Nations across BC.
What to Expect
- Workshops & Presentations on First Nations approaches to evaluating climate risks, developing climate action plans, data collection and monitoring, land guardians programs and more.
- Clean Energy presentations showcasing First Nations’ successes in building energy sovereignty and reducing greenhouse gas emissions through clean energy projects.
- Knowledge Sharing from First Nations who are leading climate adaptation and resilience building projects rooted in First Nations teachings, natural law and connections to the land.
- Practical Resources to support climate action including toolkits, people and funding.
