Hello everyone!
In honor of my one year recovery coming up on the 14th of March, I wanted to create a safe space to hold for those who feel they have no direction and are in need of a place to start their sobriety journey.
RAW Recovery is a group founded by yours, truly.
I, myself, have been to different AA meetings throughout my recovery. I've been to most all meetings across Ocala and I learned a lot in my time spent in them. One thing I found to be most common was that each place was held to a certain way of life. I understand that not a lot of people agree on the way they tend to lead their lives, spiritually. Most people tend to not return to AA because they are told they need to believe in to living a certain way of life in order to be "a better person" and I, for one, disagree.
I believe that your life can be re-directed without needing to conform to something that you don't personally believe in. Your life can be changed without the disconnect. Life in recovery isn't about being a better person, it's about making better choices all around. Being sober and staying sober shouldn't be treated with fear or judgement. It should be lead with enlightenment and on the notion for YOU to want to live a healthier life. Whatever that means for YOU.

Getting sober and staying sober isn't impossible and with the right community, recovery can be achieved.

With that being sad, RAW Recovery will be held at Muddy Lotus Tea Kava Bar for the first time ever this Sunday, March 15th. It'll be from 3-4pm. It's 18+. There is a one drink minimum.
Come join us for our first ever meet-up for those looking to get sober and stay sober. These meetings will be held bi-weekly every Sunday.
All you have to bring is courage.
