Colossyan, a Hungarian-founded startup is one of the hottest players in the exploding GenAI space, offering a text-to-video engine and user-friendly interfaces for companies to create training videos, revolutionizing digital learning and communication. Its platform, designed to meet the specific needs of L&D creators, features unique capabilities like lip-syncing, positioning Colossyan as a formidable competitor in the market, rivaling the likes of Synthesia.
Under the leadership of 26-year-old founder and CEO Dominik Kovacs, Colossyan has rapidly expanded its reach, attracting over 2,000 clients across 46 countries. High-profile logos such as Porsche, Vodafone, Paramount, and BMW underscore the company's growing influence in the Learning and Development (L&D) sector.
Exactly a year ago, before scoring the largest Series A round in Hungarian startup history, the company raised a $5M pre-Series A round led by LAUNCHub Ventures and Emerge Education. Since then, the company’s revenue 6x-ed, the team size 3x-ed and they opened an office in NYC, which set them up for this groundbreaking fundraise.
Colossyan boasts a 14-member AI research team and plans for further expansion, underscoring its commitment to innovation. The company's technology, already used by clients like the Hyatt hotel chain for employee training, is set to bring about 70-80% cost savings in video production. Looking ahead, Colossyan aims to enhance video interactivity to boost engagement rates significantly
With ambitious plans for aggressive growth in Budapest, expansion to 15 members in London, and new hires for their Wall Street office, Colossyan is strategically positioning itself for global impact. The company's primary market focus is North America and large corporations, with a goal to quadruple its revenue this year while maintaining a team size under 100 members. The recent funding is expected to sustain the company for over three years.
In a strategic move to strengthen its team, Colossyan has recently onboarded key employees from prestigious companies like Vimeo, Revolut, and their major competitor, Synthesia. As the company builds its AI team from the global talent pool, it aims to hire 30-40 people in total, aligning with its ambitious goals.
