Jonathan Jacky, a freelance musician, producer, and composer based in the sacred Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming, boasts a versatile background as a classically trained trumpeter. With a Bachelor’s of Music from Wright State University and a Master’s of Music from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, Jonathan has performed in various ensembles spanning from orchestras to indie rock bands. Notable achievements include winning Wright State University’s Concerto Competition and performing at Carnegie Hall. Since relocating to the Black Hills in 2021, Jonathan has collaborated with numerous musical groups and artists while also showcasing his talents as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist in his original live looping project, quakequation. His trumpet/flugelhorn work has been featured in indie-rock bands like Speaking Suns, Bummers, and The Zygotes. Currently, Jonathan is actively recording the debut album for quakequation at his home studio.
