Sunkyung Noh presents the First Friday Organ Recital for February 2025! This recital is free and open to the public.
Sunkyung Noh was born in South Korea and began playing the organ at age 16. She completed undergrad studies at Yonsei University with Prof. Dong-ill Shin. Noh completed two master's degrees in organ and claviorganum at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg where she studied with Prof. Wolfgang Zerer and Prof. Menno Van Delft. Following those, she studied with Prof. Martin Schmeding at Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy" in Leipzig.
In January 2023, she was the first Asian winner at the International Mendelssohn Competition (Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Wettbewerb) where she received the first prize and the Contemporary Work Interpretation Award. In July of that same year, she won the Interpretation First Prize and Gold Medal at 32nd St Albans International Organ Competition.
This year she plans to debut her first solo album, and is scheduled to perform throughout Europe and the United States, including at King's College, Oxford in England.
