Join us Friday, May 1st, for a stellar program presented by Deux Voix, a one-of-a-kind musical duo that has amassed a sterling reputation with both national and international acclaim.
Artists, Stephen Distad and Dr. Justin Langham founded Deux Voix (French for "two voices”) in 2014. They have presented over 350 programs nationwide in over 19 states and multiple concert tours abroad, including performances in some of the world's most impressive spaces such as the Lund Cathedral in Sweden, Aix Cathedral in southern France, Paulus Church in Oslo, St. Alban’s Anglican Church in Copenhagen, St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Maine, Cadet Chapel at West Point, Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, home of the world’s largest pipe organ, and many others.
Stephen Distad is a nationally recognized organist and church musician living in Houston, Texas. In addition to his concertizing, Mr. Distad serves as Artist-in-Residence at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.
Dr. Justin Langham enjoys a multi-faceted career as a conductor, an award-winning composer whose music has been commissioned and performed across the United States and beyond, a performer, and an educator. He is proud to serve as the Director of Music at St. Philip Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas.
The mission of Deux Voix is to inspire and engage a wide and diverse audience of trumpet and organ music through the creation of new music, educational outreach, creative programming, and dynamic performances around the world.
