Join us on Friday, March 6th for our First Friday Organ Recital series. The recital features André Lombardi, Co-Cathedral Organ Scholar and director of the Co-Cathedral a capella ensemble, Cor Angelicus.André is a native of Irvine, California, and junior at Rice University. He studies organ with Professor Ken Cowan and is pursuing a dual degree in Organ Performance and Social Policy Analysis. André is the recipient of the David and Andrea Hayes Full-Tuition Scholarship.
Lombardi began his musical journey as an Organ Scholar at Christ Cathedral under David Ball. Since then, he has sung at St. Peter’s Basilica for Papal masses, served on boards of The American Guild of Organists chapters, and performed at local venues such as Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park, San Diego. André also performs at masterclasses taught by esteemed organists like David Briggs, Isabelle Demers, Olivier Latry, Hector Olivera, and Johann Vexo, in addition to solo recitals in and between Houston and Southern California.
