Please join us Jan 3rd from 4-6 PM at the Monson Gallery Store as we feature local artist Pat Huckins-Basket Maker. Pat started basket-weaving classes over 25 years ago when she moved to Hallowell as it was a great way to meet people and learn a new skill. She had already been re-seating chairs for several years, but she made many weaving friends and basket-weaving became an important part of her life. When she moved back to the Greenville area, she started teaching classes and it was fun for her to see people develop a passion for weaving like she had. She is now retired and weaves with her nephew and a couple friends and still loves to have a good challenge and have been going to weaving retreats to enhance her skills.
We will also feature wine samplings from Stone Tree Farm & Cidery in Unity Maine, established in 2020 by Brian Erickson, and Frank Haferland. Stone Tree’s name is derived by Brian and Franks educational backgrounds in Forestry and Geology, respectively. Their love of wine and cider pushed them to pursue their dream of starting and operating their own establishment. With 10+ years of experience making wine and cider, Brian is certified with the Cider Institute of North America, While Frank has extensive retail experience and specializes in customer service and business management. We will also be offering hors d’ouevres including Pineland Farms Cheese of the Month, 4 Year old Vintage Cheddar.
