SAADA's First Days Project collects the stories of immigrants’ and refugees’ first days in the United States.
Regardless of whether their first day in the country was five, twenty, or forty (or even more) years ago, it is a day that most remember very vividly—for its mix of excitement, nervousness, loss, humor, sadness, and adventure.
If you have an arrival story or know somebody who does, we invite you to join our community event in Pittsburgh on Thursday, February 27, from 6-8pm, to share your story and hear from others!
