Join Park Staff on a morning snowshoe to the summit of Mount Spokane.
About this Event

Guided by Park staff and volunteers from the Friends of Mt. Spokane, participants will snowshoe past the Bald Knob Picnic Shelter to the historic Vista House located at 5,833 feet – the highest point of Mt. Spokane. If weather permits, participants will have views of the Cabinet Mountains in Montana, Selkirk Crest in North Idaho, and nearby lakes. Snacks will be provided at the trailhead. Participants can also purchase hot drinks and snacks at the Vista House.

THINGS TO BRING: Snowshoes, waterproof or water-resistant boots, gators or waterproof pants, trekking poles, sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks and water.

WHERE TO MEET: Meet in the Lower Selkirk parking lot. From the park office, the parking area is approximately 3.1 miles up the mountain. The address for the parking lot is 27718 N Mt. Spokane Park Dr, Mead WA 99021.

RESTRICTIONS: No dogs allowed without hike organizer approval.

While January 1st is a Discover Pass Free Day, it does not apply to Sno-Parks. A Daily Sno-Park Permit($25) or Seasonal Sno-Park permit($50) is required and can be purchased at the Mount Spokane State Park office/kiosk or online at https://parks.wa.gov/passes-permits/permits/sno-park-permits.
