Start the new year on the right foot - on snowshoes! Breathe in the crisp winter air and enjoy a peaceful trek out to the Bog Boardwalk as we welcome a fresh start to the year. This is a wonderful way to connect with nature, get some exercise and set a positive tone for the year ahead.We will be snowshoeing out to the Bog Boardwalk, which is a 2-mile round trip. Afterwards, warm up by a cozy campfire, roast marshmallows and have some hot cocoa at the Visitor Center.
Bring your own snowshoes or some are available to rent for free at the park office for program participants (first come, first serve). If there in not enough snow for snowshoeing, it will be a hike instead. All ages are welcome.
Meet at the Bog Walk Trail trailhead across highway 22.
All vehicles entering the park need a valid Minnesota State Park vehicle permit which is $7 for a day or $35 for a year.
