Join us on Celebrate Trails Day (an annual nationwide event founded by the Rails to Trails Conservancy) for this inaugural bird watching walk along the Sullivan O&W Rail Trail. The last Saturday in April is also National Go Birding Day, so we've teamed up with Sullivan Audubon Society President Maura Muller to lead a short hike along a section of the Hurleyville Rail Trail that skirts past Shaddock Pond, a local hotspot for migratory birds. After the hike, participants are invited to enjoy a complimentary hot beverage and a snack at the Forage & Gather Cafe located at 234 Main Street. In addition, everyone who joins us will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of "A Birding Guide to Sullivan County New York" by John. H. Haas courtesy of Morgan Outdoors!
