This face-to-face course equips learners with the knowledge and confidence to recognise suspected mental health conditions, understand the effects of drugs and alcohol, and apply the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan effectively.

Timings

The day includes:
- 7 hours of teaching and assessment
- 1 hour for breaks and lunch

Assessment
Throughout the day, learners will take part in a range of learning activities and group discussions.
Assessment consists of:
- A closed-book written assessment (14 questions, worth 26 points; pass mark 18)
- A practical demonstration of the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan
Both elements must be successfully completed to achieve the qualification.* The written assessment includes a combination of multiple-choice and short-answer questions.
If you anticipate any difficulty with the assessment, please contact us as early as possible. Reasonable adjustments may be available.
Successful learners will receive a nationally recognised Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health, issued as an e-certificate by First Aid Awards (FAA) from NUCO.
*In the event that a second attempt must be made to sucessfully complete the written assessment, an additional charge of £30 will be made. The Chichester-based location of this second attempt will be confirmed individually with the delegate.

Cancellations:
- Lifecentre reserves the right to cancel the course if necessary. In this case, all participants will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made up to 7 days before the training date will receive a refund, minus any platform fees.
- Unfortunately, no refunds can be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the training date.
