About this Event
Our 'First Aid-CPR Seminar for Pet Owners and Caregivers' is designed for anyone interested in providing effective first-aid care for pets—whether you're a pet owner, pet sitter, foster parent, rescuer, boarder, groomer, hunter, breeder, or more.
Our mission is to train owners and caregivers on how to respond when their pet is injured. In emergencies, early intervention can be the difference between life and death. Taking immediate action can stabilize your pet while transporting them to the nearest veterinary clinic. This course covers common pet injuries and how you can help!
During this seminar, you will learn:
- How to assemble a first aid kit.
- What NOT to do in cases of injury or heat stroke.
- How to control bleeding and apply bandages.
- How to perform chest compressions during cardiopulmonary arrest. And much more.
The seminar includes a 1-hour lecture followed by a hands-on wet lab, where you will practice using CPR manikin dogs and dummies for bandage placement.
