Information for candidates

This course will be run face to face at the above venue.

About the course

This course will start promptly at the time listed above. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the course to register.

To ensure the course is delivered in line with the relevant policy and procedures, the set number of contact hours for the course must be met and full attendance of all parts of the course is required to pass and receive a certificate. Trainers may not accept candidates who arrive late for any part of the course.

If you are unable to attend for any reason, please contact 01473 561402 or email [email protected] at the earliest opportunity.

For our full terms and conditions please visit https://www.allstarsafety.co.uk/terms-conditions-for-bookings/.

The course will involve practical exercises, for example kneeling on the floor to practise resuscitation. We recommend that you wear appropriate casual clothing. If you have any condition that may prevent you from taking part in practical activities, please contact your GP for advice before attending.

Other practical exercises completed as part of your assessment require you to place other candidates into the recovery position and to administer bandaging techniques. Candidates will also need to practise these skills with you as a ‘patient’ in order to achieve the required assessments.

Failure to participate in these activities will result in not achieving the required assessments for certification without refund.

If we feel you will put yourself or others at risk, we may not be able to allow you to complete the course.

Candidates will need a basic command of English (defined as level 1). While we are able to support candidates who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance.

Please advise us at the earliest opportunity by contacting [email protected] or 01473 561402 if you require any reasonable adjustments or additional support, due to a disability or long-term health condition, to enable you to undertake this training.

Quality assurance recording

Please note we sometimes use cameras in our training rooms to film during our courses as part of our ongoing quality assurance. This is not used for assessing candidates and will not impact on your results.

The trainer will let you know if a recording is taking place, and you will have the opportunity to raise any concerns. Once quality assurance has been completed the recordings are deleted.

Expected behaviours, feedback and recording concerns

We expect all candidates to act in a professional and appropriate manner. All Star Safety Ltd has a zero tolerance approach towards inappropriate behaviour and discrimination.

Any behaviour that may be considered inappropriate, including aggression, harassment, violence, inappropriate touching or offensive language, towards another student or All Star Safety Ltd personnel may result in a candidate being removed from courses.

If you have any concerns during your course, please in the first instance speak to your trainer as soon as convenient (in a break), or contact 01473 561402.

At the end of the session you will be sent a link to a feedback questionnaire. Please use this opportunity to provide feedback to All Star Safety Ltd regarding the quality of the course.
