This half-day course is designed for anyone who may need to respond to medical emergencies, including health and social care staff, nurses, carers, and family members. It provides essential knowledge and hands-on skills in first aid and life support, aligned with national standards.
Mapped to the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, Resuscitation Council Guidelines, and Care Certificate Standard 12, the course ensures participants are confident and competent in emergency response.
What You’ll Learn:
- Conduct primary and secondary casualty surveys
- Administer CPR and use a defibrillator
- Respond to heart attacks, asthma, allergic reactions, and diabetic emergencies
- Apply infection prevention and record keeping
- Understand workplace first aid regulations
