About this Event

FIRES AND FASCISM - Documentary film screening + Q&A with director Dr Pete Knapp!

Tuesday 25th November at B-Arts
Arrive for 7pm - Screening will begin shortly after

Fires and Fascism is a documentary film about how wildfires in Europe are not just natural disasters - they're the result of human intervention or lack of it, from corruption and organised crime to the vested profit making interests of big business over people and planet. But more particularly, the legacy of fascist and authoritarian regimes and the interplay of far right politics in contemporary society.

Focusing on communities in Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal, this film explores how resistance to the far right is fundamentally linked to the fight to stop climate change.

Brought to you by North Staffs Campaign Against Racism & Fascism (NorSCARF) in association with North Staffordshire Friends of the Earth and Stoke Extinction Rebellion. We will be screenin the hour long film followed by a Q&A with director Pete.
Hot/soft drinks will be available and proudly hosted by our friends at B-Arts.
