This will allow the weekly host to adequately plan for the amount of people planning to attend.
EVENT DETAILS
WHAT (will we be doing): Generally sitting around a fire with friends, typically with music, drinks and some snacks. Guests are encouraged to bring any drinks and any snacks they wish--the sharing of which is encouraged, but optional.
WHY: Firepit Friday was born out of a desire to put a mechnism in place to help wind down the work week and get into a weekend mindset. A bookend to the week, if you will. For me (Ernie), it made a world of difference to decompress from the stresses of work and to focus on that other part that we often neglect, having a great time with family and friends.
WHO (is invited): Generally, all neighbors in Stilesboro Trace and anyone they feel are amazing people to hang out with. While the event seeks to be all-inclusive, a given weekly host may have unique restrictions (e.g. no pets, children, etc). If allowed, everyone is expected to closely monitor all non-adult humans and/or pets brought along. Note--this event is not open to the general public.
WHEN: Every Friday night, starting at 6pm and running until whenever.
WHERE: Determined each week. Firepit Friday is an idea. I may have brought it into existence in the Rivera's sphere, but we don’t claim to own it. It’s about the act of fellowship with kindred spirits. The location is not important. The Rivera household is generally always available, but if anyone, ever, wanted to host a “Firepit Friday”, then by all means suggest it.
HISTORY: Over the years we began inviting friends and neighbors over to offer the same path to relaxation. We have a fire, play music, and sit around just having good conversation and drinking responsibly. We let out frustrations, talk about plans for the weekend, life, the universe, and everything.
